Triathlon Experience:
After having found Triathlon in 2006 after getting bored with the Gym - I'm thoroughly hooked. Enjoyed my first season in 2007 competing in Sprint distance events and moved up to Olympic distance in 2008.  I am currently focusing on Olympic Distance with a longer term aim of moving to middle distance in 2011/12.  I really enjoy the variety of training for the three different elements and the support I get from the other members of the club.

Triathlon Experience:
I got into triathlon because I was bored with just running, wanted to do a bit more cycling, and fancied a new challenge (being a relative non-swimmer!). Competed in my first events in 2009 and quickly got hooked, loving that everyone was so friendly & supportive/welcoming to complete novices to the sport. Joining a Club and having some great coaching and training buddies has improved my swimming & cycling no end, and I’m looking forward to competing in my first Olympic & middle distance events in 2010

Triathlon Experience:
I am very new to triathlon having only started at the back end of the 2008 season, however it tends to grab you and then you can't get enough.  I was always involved in sport from the age of 10 upwards until I left the forces in 1994 when it all went downhill,  that was until the Triathlon bug caught hold and kicked me into gear again. I love competing in events and training hard, but I also enjoy the social fun side of being a member of a club

Job Description:
I am responsible for development of the club across the Charnwood and North West Leicestershire areas.  This includes development of existing and new sessions as well as taster sessions.  An important part of this role working with governing bodies, local authorities, leisure facilities and other interested parties to expand our sevices and facilities.

Triathlon Experience:
I have been involved with Triathlon now for 10 years, but still like to call myself a ‘recreational’ triathlete! I compete fairly regularly over various distances from sprint to half-ironman, but also enjoy other physical challenges such as ultra-marathons and mountain climbs!

Triathlon Experience:
Unlike the other committee members, my route into triathlon was mroe via the sofa rather than being good at any one of the disciplines! I became involved in triathlon in a vain attempt to keep fit and manage my weight; particpating regularly in Sprint distance races keeps up my motivation to exercise. I love the variety involved in training for triathlon, as well as the buzz of crossing the finishing line - even if it is at the end of the field!

Triathlon Experience:
First triathlon Rhayader Wales 2005 just for fun! No particular talent just tenacity and hard work culminating in 2008 competing at Mazda London Tri and in Vancouver at the Triathlon World Sprint Championships (age group) 13th fantastic experiences, happy memories. Next mountain Europeans!! And yes it’s still fun in a strange way.
